Personalization
Wilbert offers multiple ways to personalize a burial vault or urn vault with words, symbols, and images that speak of a singular spirit. Your loved one had a unique personality. The selections you make for the visitation and service should communicate that singular spirit. These choices ensure your loved one's memory is remembered for generations to come.
Set Up
Wilbert offers two types of general burial set ups, a Wilbert Way (WW) set up and a standard setup. A standard set up includes the outer burial container and a lowering device. In this case, the base of the outer burial container is placed in the ground prior to the graveside service, and the lowering device is used to lower the casket into the base. The cover is placed on the base after the service. The Wilbert Way set up seals the vault above ground, ensuring that no foreign bodies will impede the seal of the outer burial container. This allows the cover to be displayed graveside, and also allows the family to view the vault sealing without disturbance from heavy equipment. The Wilbert Way is only available on Wilbert trademarked burial vaults, and may not be allowed in all cemeteries. If the grave is not suitable for a Wilbert Way set up, and at the CSR’s discretion, we may perform a “false” set up where the vault will be set up the Wilbert Way away from the grave and at a location in the cemetery that maximizes the safety of the family.
Grass & Chairs
Grass and chairs are available as an additional service to families who would like a graveside service or an extra amenity at the burial site. Enough grass is provided to cover any dirt pile, as well as the area under the family and around the vault.
Tents
One 15x15 graveside tent with optional side curtains is provided for funeral services. The tent covers the burial area and provides a comfortable place for families to gather during the funeral. At the end of the funeral, the tent is removed.
Nameplate
Nameplates give burial vaults a personalized touch. They are a standard feature of Continental burial vaults and above. The nameplate includes the name of the deceased and the birth and death dates, as well as a Life’s Reflections ornament .
Disinterment
Wilbert Burial Vault provides disinterment services. If it becomes necessary to move a vault from one location to another, Washington Wilbert can assist with these services. We are able to remove the vault from the original interment site and transport within the continental United States.
Vault Transfer
Vault Transfer is a service available between Wilbert licensees and dealers. Wilbert Burial Vault uses the vault transfer service when a burial request has been made outside of the licensee territory. The location of the cemetery is needed to determine the appropriate Wilbert licensee or dealer. Since the services offered by each Wilbert licensee vary, the licensees work together on a per burial basis to determine the services, such as tents, grass, chairs, and grave digging, that each licensee will provide for the burial.
